			 Scott 
			Jackson begins his 24th year in the education profession, the past 
			18 years as a David W. Carter High School Cowboy. He has been the 
			head boys track coach for the Cowboys, winning a state championship, 
			three regional championships, and nine district championships. He 
			took over the Carter Track & Field Program after the legendary Coach 
			Eddie Payne retired back in 1997. 
			Coach Jackson honored Coach Payne by renaming the Carter HS 
			track & field meet, the Eddie Payne – Carter Shootout.  
			 Jackson also was the offensive coordinator for the Cowboys 
			from 2003 until 2011, mentoring athletes at the quarterback 
			position.

Prior to his appointment at David W. Carter High 
			School, Coach Jackson was at Justin F. Kimball High School where he 
			coached track and football. The Knights were state track champions 
			in 1996.  Jackson began 
			his coaching career at Bryan Adams High School in 1991.
			 Over 
			the course of his career, Coach Jackson has been a part of 20 
			play-off football teams, and 12 district track championship teams. 
			He has also been a part of two state track championships, four 
			regional track championships, and numerous individual state 
			championships.

Coach Jackson graduated from Kansas Wesleyan 
			University in Salina, Kansas, with a degree in Mathematics. He is 
			also a Kansas Wesleyan University Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee. 
			Jackson finished his career at Kansas Wesleyan University in many 
			categories.  He was 
			All-Conference Quarterback his junior and senior seasons. 
			His name still appears in several of the KWU Football 
			All-Time Top Ten Lists, including the No. 2 longest play for a 
			touchdown, and 85 yard touchdown strike, a 97 yard touchdown run 
			from scrimmage, No. 3 All-Time Career Touchdowns with 48 total, and 
			No. 3 All-Time Career Total Offense. 
			Jackson was also a member of the school’s conference champion 
			and national qualifying 4.400m relay.
Jackson and his wife of 
			25 years, Shawn, an instructional coach in the Dallas ISD, have 
			three sons, Ryan, Jordan, and Caleb. 
			And a beautiful 3-month old granddaughter, Blaise.
			Coach Jackson brings an intense level of hard work, dedication, and 
			knowledge to help heighten student-athlete performance. He works and 
			assists in developing a culture that values education, first and 
			foremost. Jackson believes that athletics is an extension of the 
			academic setting, producing winners in the classroom and leaders in 
			the community—winners on and off the field of play. Coach Jackson 
			truly loves and respects his profession. He believes that hard work, 
			discipline and education are prerequisites for students to have a 
			successful future. His goal as an educator is to challenge each 
			student-athlete to achieve his/her highest level of potential to 
			ensure individual success.
