The 40th annual Jesuit-Sheaner Relays are scheduled to take place
Saturday at Jesuit, with more than 40 teams  from Texas and
Oklahoma expected to send full or partial squads to the event.

“Once again, it is going to be an extremely fast meet from the
sprints to the 3,200 meters,” said Jesuit head track coach Bob
            Molyet.

“Obivously, we believe that it is one of the top meets in the
            state of Texas.”

Among the teams scheduled to participate Saturday are Highland Park,
Jesuit, W.T. White, and St. Mark’s.

Molyet said his team will be limited by the absence of a number of
runners, who are scheduled to take the SAT. That will affect the
Rangers in the relay events, the coach said, and it will greatly
            alter Jesuit’s final point tally.

The 2004 competition will include a special “exhibition” girls
1600-meter race, which will feature 11-14 of the top female distance
            runners in the area.
